DESCRIPTION:  \nMTASA Competitions Day 2025\nReimann-Robinson Scholarship & Norman Sellick Memorial Prize \nThe Music Teachers’ Association of South Australia warmly invites you to the 2025 Competitions Day\, featuring the Norman Sellick Memorial Prize and the Reimann-Robinson Scholarship. \nThis year’s competition will feature both a preliminary video round and a live final at the Australian Piano Warehouse. \n  \nCOMPETITION FINAL: \nVenue: Australian Piano Warehouse\nDate: Sunday\, 26 October 2025\nTime: \n\nNorman Sellick Memorial Prize: 5:00pm – 6:45pm\n\n\nReimann-Robinson Scholarship: 7:00pm – 9:00pm\n\n  \nENTRY DEADLINE: (including video submission): \nFriday\, October 10\, 2025 \nNo late entries will be accepted.\nEntry Process \n\nAll entries and payments must be submitted online via Humanitix.\n\n\nRecordings must be submitted as unlisted YouTube links.\n\n\nCompetitors must be available to attend the FINAL to be eligible for a prize.\n\n\nVideo submission deadline: 10 October 2025. Video Submission Requirements are as follows:\n\n\nThe recording must be done in one continuous take.\n\n\nRecordings cannot be posted online except as unlisted YouTube videos.\n\n\nThe camera must be positioned to capture the performer’s face\, both hands and the instrument. If feet are used (e.g.\, piano pedalling)\, they must also be visible.\n\n\nThe recording must clearly show both the performer and accompanist\, with balanced\, audible sound.\n\n\nOnce the video is uploaded\, the unlisted YouTube URL must be submitted via the enrolment form.\n\n\nWe will inform the teachers whether the students will be selected into final by 16 October 2025.\n\n\nCompetitors must perform the same repertoire in both preliminary and final rounds.\n\n  \nEntry Fees & Prize Structure \nNorman Sellick Memorial Prize:  Entry Fee: $50 \n\nFirst Prize: $250\n\n\nSecond Prize: $100\n\n\nThird Prize: $50\n\nReimann-Robinson Scholarship: Entry Fee: $65 \n\nFirst Prize: $400\n\n\nSecond Prize: $200\n\n\nThird Prize: $100\n\n  \nPerformance Guidelines \n\n\nNorman Sellick Memorial Prize:\n\n\nTwo contrasting works must be performed within a total of 10 minutes. \n\n\nReimann-Robinson Scholarship:\n\n\nAny number of works may be performed within a total of 15 minutes. \n\nNo coaching is permitted during the performance.\n\n\nPhotography and recording are not permitted during final performances.\n\n\nAll copyright laws must be observed. APRA/AMCOS forms\, along with original or licensed copies of music\, must be provided.\n\n\nIf invited to the final – Competitors must check in at least 20 minutes before the start of their session.\n\n\nThe adjudicator’s decision is final. The scholarship may be withheld if a satisfactory standard is not met.\n\n\nAll winners will be invited to perform at the MTASA Summer Conference event in January 2026\, and feature in the SA Music Teacher Magazine.\n\n  \nConditions of Entry \n\nOpen to students of MTASA members (any instrument). The member must be the student’s principal teacher.\n\n\nAge Limit:\n\n\nNorman Sellick: 12 years and under (as of 1 May 2025)\n\n\nReimann-Robinson: 13–18 years (as of 1 May 2025)\n\n\nEligibility exclusions:\n\n\nPast First Prize winners of each respective competition are not eligible to enter again.\n\n\nAll other students\, including past 2nd and 3rd prize winners\, are eligible to enter.
